The Coral Garden of the Future - Dahab

Climate change and ocean pollution are threatening the ecosystems of the oceans, especially coral reefs. This is such a shame as the ocean is one of the most beautiful things on Earth! It has immense biodiversity and so many beautiful things to discover within it. Additionally, coral reefs are of critical importance to not only the marine but the whole ecosystem. By establishing a coral garden in Dahab, Egypt, we aim to make a difference in this issue and restore coral reefs.

This summer, as some of you may know, I participated in the Scuba Challenge organized by Het Duikhuis. This is a government-funded program for people between the ages of 12 and 30 to obtain their diving certification and become ocean ambassadors (and make a difference).

The diving certification is achieved! But we are also committed to the planet and the health of underwater ecosystems. With all the participants of the Scuba Challenge, we are raising funds to create a coral garden in the sea of Dahab. We are aiming to raise €10,000 for this project. As participants, we are reaching out to friends and family to contribute any amount they can to make this coral garden a reality.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could contribute to this cause, even if it's just one euro or ten. If 10 people donate ten euros each, that's already 100 euros, and if everyone participating in the Scuba Challenge can achieve this, we will have the full amount needed for the coral garden! (If more is raised, we can, of course, build more coral gardens in the future!) Only when everyone works together can something much bigger be achieved :)
